People of all ages participated in the 18th edition of the Tata Mumbai Marathon, which registered over 55,000 participants on Sunday. One participant who stole the show was an 80-year-old woman. The woman's granddaughter, Dimple Mehta Fernandes, shared a snippet of the memorable run on Instagram. The short clip showed the elderly lady running alongside other participants in a saree and a pair of sneakers. There's a part in which she is seen carrying the tri-colour in her hands during the run. According to the post, she clocked 4.2 km in 51 minutes. The video was captioned, "So inspired by the sheer will and grit of my 80-year-old Nani who ran the TATA Marathon this Sunday." The clip features an interview with PTI in which the elderly lady said she participated in the marathon for the fifth time. She said she ran with the tri-colour because she is a proud Indian and wanted people to know about her national identity.
