The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that the COVID-19 restrictions on Umrah pilgrimages will no longer be in place. The Ministry has taken away the rule that pilgrims doing Umrah from outside Saudi Arabia had to be 50 years old. After the restrictions put in place during the coronavirus outbreak were lifted. Only Muslims between the ages of 18 and 65 were allowed to do Umrah, pray at the Grand Mosque and Al-Rawdah Sharif at the Prophet's Mosque, and visit the Prophet's tomb, according to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. All of our family umrah packages 2023 are made to fit the needs and budgets of our Muslim brothers and sisters. Under the new rules, foreign senior pilgrims can now do Umrah. These rules stick to the precautions and processes that are already in place to stop the spread of coronavirus.

The Overseas Pilgrims under the age of 18 Ban Remains in Effect

Pilgrims from outside of Saudi Arabia who were younger than 18 would not be allowed to do Umrah. Local pilgrims who are at least 12 years old and have had two shots against the coronavirus will be able to do Umrah and pray at the Two Holy Mosques. The government has taken away the instruction to keep a social distance, but things like mask awareness should still be kept in mind. Officials said that people would only be allowed in after their vaccination status was checked and proof was shown that the shots were given correctly.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has started issuing Umrah pilgrimage permits. Pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom can get into the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah with the Eatmarna and Tawakkalna apps. Which pilgrims can download to their phones. Before, people who wanted to do Umrah but didn't live in Saudi Arabia had to get permission from the Saudi Umrah agency to visit the pilgrimage sites. No longer do you have to go through these people to get a permit.

Authorities say that people who already have both programmed installed will need to update again before the service can be used. They do need to sign up for an account on the Khudum website, though. Only people who sign up in this way are eligible for the permit, which is given after two applications have been turned in. After a break of almost two years, King Salman's order to fill the Two Holy Mosques to capacity and the recent lifting of the travel ban will make a big difference in the number of overseas Umrah pilgrims in the next season.
