Getting Started with Epson WF 2630

Plugin your Epson Printer to power and Switch it ON by pressing the power button on the printer. And, make sure that you have not connected your printer to the computer.

Now, configure your printer as per the on-screen instruction displayed on your printer. You will need to set up your printer for Language, Country, Date and Time. You may need to wait till your printer configures everything modified by you.

After the configuration process gets completed, you will be prompted with a message on the printer’s display to install the ink cartridges. To install cartridges, first, remove the yellow strip from the cartridges.

Now, simply lift the top of the printer and insert each ink cartridge in their dedicated slot. Put the cover back and wait until printer loads the cartridges. Next, when prompted to select the paper size and type, first select the size of the paper and then the type of paper. After that, pull the tray from the bottom of the printer and put the paper in the tray properly. Put the tray back into the printer. Your printer is now ready to be connected to a computer.

Coming to the computer now, ensure that you have not connected your printer to the computer yet. Now, load the driver software CD that you got with your printer and follow the on-screen instruction given in the CD to install the driver software into the system.

Set up and Register Your Epson WorkForce WF 2630 Printer in Epson Connect

Turn ON your Printer and install the Epson Connect printer setup using the installation disk that you get with your printer.

Once installation completes, launch the program. The application will automatically start searching for your printer. As it gets displayed on the screen, select your printer and proceed to the next screen.

Click on the Printer Registration and then on then confirm the License Agreement after reading them carefully.

On the next screen, you will be prompted to furnish some information. When completed click on the Finish button to complete the Epson Connect registration process.

Troubleshooting Steps for Common Problems in Epson WF 2630

Red Light Blinking Problem

The new range of Epson Printers is integrated with a low-level ink warning system. Whenever the system identifies that the ink level is going down or critical, a red light starts blinking on the printer. The warning system calculates the level of ink by counting the number of paper printed. The warning system is programmed to function according to an ink cartridge capable of printing 4000 printers. So, whenever the print count reaches to 3800 or above, the warning system starts assuming that the ink level is low and start giving warning by blinking red light frequently.

To fix this issue, simply remove the ink cartridges from the printer and install it back when the right blinks. The problem will be fixed.

Cartridge Recognition Error

The advanced Epson printer like WF 2630 is loaded with specific IC chips that do not recognize third-party ink cartridges and prevent them from functioning. In case you use such ink cartridges, you can fix this issue by simply restarting your printer once. Just turn off once and turn it on back to fix the problem.
