Zero plays the most important role in a casino roulette game, which involves a high degree of chance and unpredictability. Roulette game odds are largely dependent on the zeroes it has.

In the United States, most Roulette game wheels have, and offer, two zeroes (00), barring a few. Some only have one zero (0)- also more common in places in Europe. Triple Zero is a newcomer here. It was included in well-known places such as – The Sands Roulette, MGM Grand and Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas in the years 2018 and 2019 only. Wheels with single, double and triple zeroes have been noted at few places where the money earned would be meant for charity. But certainly not in such places in Vegas. The Sands Roulette put a third zero in its new logo “000”.

One needs to know that the payoffs remain the same as in single or double zero wheels. They are 35-1 on winning single number bets, 17-1 on two number splits, 11-1 on three number streets, 8-1 on four number corners, 5-1 on six number double streets, 2-1 on twelve number bets inclusive of columns and dozens , and even money on 18 number bets including red or black, odd or even and first 18 or the last 18. All these would be true odds with no house edge if there were 36 numbers on the wheel.

Including and counting a zero, a Single Zero wheel has 37 numbers, 38 with 0, and 00 or 39 on the new Triple Zero Roulettes. The odds to a large extent depend on the number of zeroes on the wheel. Instead of true odds being 18-18 on red or black, they are 19-18, 20-18, or 21-18, depending upon the number of zeroes there.

The Odds work differently on a Triple Zero Roulette Wheel. Let’s look at an example. Imagine you pick a number and bet $1 on it for 39 spins in which each number turns up once. Your total risk goes up to $39. On the one spin, if your number comes up, you win $35 and keep your $1, which means that you are left with $ 36, and the house has $3 of yours and $39 in wagers. Now to find out the ‘house edge’, divide that $3 by $39, then multiply by 100 to convert it to percent. The answer is 0.0769, and if you multiply it by 100, it comes to 7.69 % -with a single zero it is 2.7% and 5.26 % with two zeroes. Irrespective of whether you are betting corners, columns, streets or anything else, the odds will be the same. The only exception to it could be a 5 number (basket), bet on double zero wheels – where the odds will end up higher than even a triple zero wheel.

All in all, it comes to this conclusive point that the house edge on a Triple Zero online Roulette wheel is much higher than the old single or double zero Roulette wheels.
