India Gate is a war memorial also called as All India War Memorial located near the Rajpath. It was built in the memory of 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who died in the First World War and Second Anglo-Afgan was happened in between 1914-21. The establishment of this monument was completed in the year of 1921 but it was unveiled to the audience in 1933. The design of this structure was created by the great architect of that time and one of the best designers of war memorials of the time Sir Edwin Lutyens. He was one of the best architects of all Europe in designing the war memorials. We can reach India Gate by metro also, the nearest metro station to India Gate is Central Secretariat which lies on the yellow line of Delhi Metro. India Gate is inaugurated by Lord Irwin on 12th February 1931. We can reach India Gate by Metro from Noida City Center.
