If your YouTube audio and video are out of sync, then you have a major problem. Out of sync means that you see the lips move in the video before you hear the audio. This gives you a bad viewing experience, but you can get rid of this problem. All you have to do is follow at least one of the four solutions discussed further in this article.

Faulty Content

Sometimes the video you are watching on YouTube and want to download YouTube Audio is by default faulty and it is not your computer’s problem. The person who uploaded the video clip didn’t upload it with both elements in sync.
Try playing another video and if it is playing alright, then it is the uploader’s fault. You should send them feedback and ask them to fix the sync problem. However, if it is not the uploader’s fault, then there are other ways to fix this problem.

Outdated Driver

The video and audio that you play on your PC, requires a driver. When you don’t update your PC driver for long, then it is bound to become outdated. For this, you need to update your driver using Driver Easy. Driver Easy will automatically detect an update and will fix the driver for you.

If you don’t know how to use Driver Easy and where to find it on your PC, you can search for it on the internet.

Hardware Acceleration

If you are using YouTube on a website and facing the audio and video out of sync problems, then you have to disable the hardware acceleration. If you are using Chrome, then follow the steps given below:
• At the top right corner, you will see three vertical dot buttons.
• Go to the bottom of settings and click on Advanced
• Scroll down and at the very bottom, you will see the System option
• Disable the toggle which says ‘Use hardware acceleration when available’
• Close and open Chrome again, and play the video. Hopefully, this step will solve the problem.

Desktop App

If you are using the desktop app, and your video and audio are out of sync, then you should reinstall it. If a similar problem persists on your mobile phone, then you can reinstall the YouTube app. Most of the time, the app is not upgraded and it has bugs in it. When a company introduces a new version, immediately install it, because it is upgraded with improvements.

If the problem still persists, then check your internet speed!
