These days, personal assistants, Siri, chatbots, and Alexa are stealing the show. Isn’t it?

Who is behind this show? One and only ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE!

What do you think AI is a much-hyped marketing buzzword, or is it a reality? We will have to go deep to unveil it. Let’s go step-by-step; it will be fun.

A view of the history

Knowing history is crucial to come to any conclusion.

It all started in 1950 when the father of AI Alan Turing coined a million-dollar question can machines think and act?

For this, he conducted a written test between a human and a cognitive machine. And, the result was that both gave identical answers.

No, this is not the conclusion.

The next question was, how often will machines be able to pass this test?

Not every time. The reason is machines cannot interact the way humans do. Their capability depends on the information source. The more accurate the data, the more precise the answer they will provide.

So, you must be having many myths in mind about Artificial intelligence marketing. Do you want to know the reality of AI myths? Join the discussion below:-

Myth

Expensive - People think that artificial intelligence marketing requires a huge budget as you require machine learning and data science experts.

Reality

No buddy! You do not need to invest Google-sized investment as there are many tools available for automation. You require experts to handle modern technology and programming languages. Google, Amazon, Apple, and Facebook are rich in technology to succeed.

Myth

AI can understand vague data - Some people say that AI algorithms can understand and act on complex data.

Reality

This is not true as artificial intelligence does not work on load and run formula. The algorithm will work well only with accurate data. Thus, people who claim that whatever the data does not matter, Artificial intelligence can produce a correct answer with powerful algorithms, should think over it again.

The reality is AI cannot process the data that is too broad or too short of understanding. It can process the information that is digestible.

Myth

Cognitive artificial intelligence can comprehend and solve problems like a human brain.

Reality

Cognitive technology can solve only those problems for that it has been designed. It requires humans’ judgment and interpretation of the things that a computer or a standard programming language cannot solve. Such problems may include complex tasks, image recognition, ambiguous language, and more. In a nutshell, AI can define the given situation, but it cannot create a new situation. Hence, it will have to cover a long way to think as a human does.

Myth

Artificial intelligence will replace humans.

Reality

We need to understand that artificial intelligence is a technology and works like other technologies. It helps humans work more effectively and turns the processes more efficient.Being scared of its power, some people started calling it a threat for humans and said that soon it would eat humans’ jobs by replacing them completely. For instance, receptionists have been replaced by automated call directors, while emails replaced couriers. We can say that some jobs have been replaced, but it created more jobs. Remember that technology can enhance our capabilities in certain sectors but cannot replace us.

Concluding Thoughts

How are you feeling now? Crystal clear, right? The bottom line is not we should decline the myths, and we must believe in artificial intelligence. We, humans, have the power of the brain. And, with the brain, we should take artificial intelligence to the next level. You are welcome to share your valuable feedback in the comment section.
