Designing with special attention to details and the elements that we want to incorporate is important if we want to achieve a functional, comfortable kitchen adapted to our needs. Where and how to put pots, pans, dish drains, garbage cans, or how to store dishes are decisions that should not be taken lightly.
To have the kitchen in perfect order, and also make life easier for us to collect dishes and glasses as soon as we wash them, the best dish drying rack is one of the most useful accessories. On the one hand, it allows us to have visible plates and glasses, at hand, and of course, perfectly ordered. On the other, it allows us to have a clear kitchen since after washing the dishes in the sink, it is not necessary to leave them to dry with a cloth on the worktop. They are placed directly on the dish drainer, where the water will drain slowly, avoiding the tedious process of drying it with a cloth.

Where and how to place the drainer

We have already seen that having a dish rack in the kitchen is useful, even if we have a dishwasher. After all, we always have a plate, a mug, or a glass to wash. The million-dollar question is where and how do we place the drainer? It all depends on the size and layout of the kitchen. If you don't have many cabinets because the kitchen is small, or if you have a window above the sink, for example, you may be able to place a dish drainer hanging from the kitchen tiles above the counter. With this option, you avoid taking up space inside cabinets or always having a best dish drying mat on the counter.
On the other hand, we also have the option of fitting the dish drainer in the cupboard that is located above the kitchen pool. In this way, we will gain in aesthetics by having the dishes hidden, keeping them in perfect order and without clashing with the style of the kitchen. In this case, we can choose to place a dish drainer with the base of the cupboard open, so that the water that drains falls directly into the sink. The positive point of this system? That you never have to remove the water from the tray, nor does moisture form in the closet.

The other way to place the dish drainer would be in the closet, but with the base of it closed, so you would have to choose a model with a tray to collect the excess water, which you should empty from time to time. In this case, undoubtedly the dishes, glasses, and other utensils located in the drainer would be more protected from the vapors and odors that the kitchen gives off, compared to the option of a drainer with the base of the cupboard open.

Other options aside from the traditional dish drainer Cupholder

Apart from the traditional drainer, we also have other systems for glasses and goblets that can complement these elements. The first of them, the holders for hanging glasses, are extremely useful to keep glasses of water, wine, or champagne in an orderly and accessible way. Pieces of glassware that usually cause problems to be placed in a normal dish drainer, and that in this way, are placed in a space created specifically for them.

Hanging coaster

For glasses, which are sometimes cluttered between plates in a messy way, there are also tray coasters to have this element of glassware in a personalized space for them. Because in the end, when we talk about functionality and having the house in order, there are a thousand and one solutions to achieve it!
