A lot of people use Chrome as their default web browser service developed by Google. Chrome has a strong browsing performance and a high reputation in the market. Despite the browser’s popularity and excellent conduct, does it offer the security you need? You must have used two-factor authentication methods on various websites or apps. Not only this, but you must have come across using biometrics like fingerprint scanners and password generators. After all the tough security being offered by apps or any other browsing sites, users stick to the regular simple passwords they’ve been using for years. It is not hard to mention that when you develop a habit, it is difficult to get rid of the same. Therefore, keeping your preferences as the topmost priority, Google is bringing new password management and security enhancements to Chrome for Apple and Android users. Most of all, it’s a system that has been present for desktop users for quite some time now. You must have noticed that whenever you’re going to enter a new password for a profile or anything else using Chrome, the built-in password manager automatically starts suggesting strong passwords. However, most of us deny those and type easily memorable passwords. Not only this but in most cases, people tend to enter the same password for everything they sign up. You must admit that it is a risk-prone activity as in case one of your passwords gets stolen, all the other accounts with the same password are likely to expose. Chrome consists of a feature that alerts its users if the password they are using and have synced with the Google account is already exposed or not. If the password is disclosed, it is suggested to change it as soon as possible. Fortunately, the same feature is crawling its way to Android users starting with Chrome version 86. The feature will warn the users regarding their safe browsing activities or if they need to update the same for the newest security fixes. For other Apple device users, the upcoming update from Chrome is bringing a reliable version of the Touch-to-fill password autofill that Google recently introduced to Android. However, it won’t be as simple as quickly filling in the password, but you will have to go through Face ID or Touch ID action, that’ll act as additional authentication. Chrome 86 will also introduce Enhanced Safe Browsing, which will warn the users regarding the website security of the page they are looking at. Also, Enhanced Safe Browsing will secure your data in Google apps like Drive, Gmail, etc. Isn’t it great that one of your most-used browsers are looking forward to figuring out ways for your secure browsing experience? With all the details mentioned above, Chrome 86 seems to be a reliable option when it comes to advanced security methods. It’ll not only secure your data from stealing, but it’ll also ensure carefree browsing. Hi, I’m Kinsley. I’m a web developer living in Pontiac, USA.
