Rack Wire Decking - Inside, Outside, and Other Concerns

Rack wire decking is designed sometimes with a waterfall edge. The kind you select will also depend on what type of rack you're going to put it on. If you do choose to put wire mesh decking on your rack during the winter months, you will need to check the weather forecast to make sure you do not have any problems with snow or ice forming if your product is susceptible to that kind of problem.

A little bit of rain will keep your rack clean, but it will make it hard to dry. The same can be said about any kind of ice that might accumulate. You need to make sure that you keep the deck at a consistent temperature all year round if possible. Again, if you get the right kind of wire mesh decking then you can have it indoors or outdoors. It is up to your research and needs.

If you do choose to use a wire mesh deck then there are a few things that you will need to keep in mind. One of those things is how long it will take to install. Also, how it is going to look once it is finished, and how it will hold up to the elements.

If you are using rack wire decking for pallet racks for a warehouse, then you should make sure that the wire is long enough to cover most of the deck, including the cross beams. You will also need to measure the width of the pallets that you are going to install and make sure that the decking can be installed without too much room in between the pallets.
