The green certificate program is one such program that allows the students to learn all about agriculture-based pathways and programs and there are various advanced programs and diplomas for the same.

The Green Certificate Program gives students opportunities to enter an assortment of horticulture, organizes learning pathways as a piece of their senior secondary school program, and helps to procure up to 16 Grade 12 recognition credits and an accreditation prompting a profession in agribusiness.


Secondary school understudies should contact their school's off-grounds training facilitator or vocational counselor straightforwardly to show their advantage in taking the Green Certificate Program and should pursue the Green Certificate Program rules. Members should be 15 years old or in Grade 10 to apply.

If you are in 4-H, you can enroll in the Green Certificate Program 4-H Project in the fall.

The candidates over 15 years of age are eligible to apply for this program.

They also have the option of enrolling when they are in the final year of senior school. Thus, they can enroll in grades 10th, 11th and 12th. Also, those students who are in college or post-graduation also have the option to enroll in the adult green certificate program.


This course takes about one year to complete. Although there are various certifications provided in other subjects too. In that one year, of course, the trainee will gain subjective as well as practical knowledge. He/she will have to experience real on-ground farming. If they want to excel in any subject even after the completion of their one year, then they can continue with the course for another three years. This will be their extensive learning on all grounds.

Specializations –

This program allows you to choose varied subjects and specialize in them. They are:

- Equine

- Beekeeping

- Greenhouse

- Poultry

- Cow, calf, sheep, swine dairy

- Field and irrigated crops

What experience does a coach have?

A mentor should be a highly experienced coach in this area. He/she should have the expertise to teach every detail minutely so that it is understood in simple ways by all. A coach should likewise know his/her restrictions and have the option to approach another rancher for help if need be. The preparation site should be a protected and suitable cultivating activity. We have assets accessible for new coaches.

Training Opportunities

Training Opportunities for green certificate programs is designed in such a way that it gives the students extra information. The students are given additional information about the college campus tour and various program sessions.
