Crate training is an essential part of taking care of a dog. A crate provides a dog with security, safety, and comfort inside the house and when traveling in a vehicle. One common problem you may have to deal with in crate training is when your pet eliminates inside the crate, which happens when the crate has too much space that allows a dog to allocate a spot to potty. Avoid using absorbent beddings as these will make the crate conducive for your pet to eliminate. Ensure that the crate you will purchase has enough room for your dog to move around, sit, stand up and stretch out. You may use an old towel as bedding or other types of fabric you think will be comfortable for your pet. If the crate is small or does not have adequate space for mobility, there is a chance that your dog will refuse to use the crate.
