Google Chrome browser has a few common issues that anyone may have to encounter anytime. Blank Pages / White Screen issue is one of them. Many users have complained about the problem. I had also faced this white screen of death some days ago. If you are also facing an exact problem, then here are some solutions mentioned below. Disable the Extensions To disable the extensions, follow these on-screen steps provided below: Firstly, launch Google Chrome on your system. Thereafter, click on the vertical ellipsis menu icon at the upper right of the window. Then select the ‘More Tools’ option. You should click on the ‘Extensions’ option. Finally, untick each extension by unchecking the box. Turn off Hardware Acceleration To turn off hardware acceleration, follow these on-screen steps provided below: Invoke Google Chrome on the system. Then hit on the vertical ellipsis menu icon at the upper right. You should select the Settings option. After that, move down to the lower side of the screen and choose the ‘Show advanced settings’ option. Now, untick the ‘Use hardware acceleration when possible’ option beneath the System section. Modify History Folder To modify the history folder, follow these on-screen steps provided below: Launch the Chrome browser on the system. You should reach the address bar and input ‘chrome://version’ into it, and hit the Enter button. Go to the Profile Path, choose the given address and right-click on it, and then choose the Copy option. You should launch Windows Explorer by the press in the Win and E hotkeys simultaneously on the keyboard. Hover the over to the search bar and paste on it. After that, find the History folder and right-click on it, then choose the Rename option. Now, input ‘tmp’ in it and hit the Enter key. Finally, reopen the Google Chrome option. Reinstall the Browser To reinstall the browser, follow these on-screen steps provided below: Hold the ‘Ctrl + Alt + Del’ buttons together on the keyboard to invoke the Task Manager. Delete or Rename the Default Folder To delete or rename the default folder, follow these on-screen steps provided below: To open the Run accessory, hit the Win and R keys simultaneously over the keyboard. Once it opens, input ‘%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\’ in it and hit the Enter button. Now, reach the folder of Default and right-click on it, then choose the Delete button. In case it asks for verification, then hit the OK button. Otherwise, select the folder of Default and right-click on it, then choose the Rename option. Finally, input anything you want, then hit the Enter key. Launch Chrome on your system.
