Dr. Arthur J. Sackler founded the Stritch School of Medicine. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Physics and became a practicing doctor in London. In 1932 he emigrated to New York and opened the Stritch School of Medicine. It is situated in the heart of the Loyola University Medical Center at Maywood, Illinois. It was founded by Arthur J. Sackler, who had received several awards both academically and professionally.
