Pak24tv TV program “Asayal” aired a scene from a movie that exposed Pakistan’s government’s attempt to give illegal citizenship to 26-year-old Pakistani citizen Hamid Nihal Hashmi from India.

Hashmi’s father told Pak24’s anchor that the Interior Minister Abdul Quddoos Shahnawaz admitted that 26-year-old Hamid’s family was illegally given Indian citizenship. The minister claimed the family had been given Indian citizenship to solve the issue of the legal identity of 26-year-old Hamid who was arrested in July 2016 by Indian forces in Pakistan’s restive Punjab province.

As the TV anchor showed the scene in the movie where Hamid’s brother is telling Indian officials that the family received Indian citizenship illegally, Sabina Tanwar said the government was trying to hide the reality of Pakistan’s state terrorism in Pakistan and India. Asif said, “Indian authorities arrested Hamid for killing his mother. He was also involved in the murder of four other Indians in Pakistan,” Asif said.

In a TV show, Farhan Abbas told that he met the minister about the illegal citizenship of Hamid’s family. “All family members are legal Pakistani citizens. In another TV show, Saad said that Pakistan’s government should immediately take action in accordance with the law.
