Many hospitals and doctors allow users to import their medical reports right into their Apple Health. Here’s how you can get the feature set up quickly. In general, keeping track of medical records is quite a laborious process. Thankfully, the Apple Health feature has made it all very simple. Apple’s iPhone is an incredible device that you can use for anything. With a bit of know-how and a few clicks, you can turn your iPhone into the perfect device to check the test results, notes of doctors, and other valuable medical information. Apple introduced Apple Health first in the year 2014 in September. Since then, with improved features, it has been evolved into the most powerful health platform that you can find on any smartphone. One can use Apple Health to track sound sleep, water intake, weight, heart rate, nutrition, and many more. In 2018, the tech giant introduced Health Records, expanding the Apple Health benefits for iPhone users. Now, iPhone users could import any medical report directly from their doctor into Health Records. However, it is the feature that has often go unnoticed, and that’s a shame seeing its incredibility. To use the feature Health Records, Apple has given directions according to which the users need to click on the Apple Health app to open it. Then, the users should click on their profile icon displayed at the screen’s top right. Now, click on ‘Health Records’ visible under the Features category. After that, the users have to click on the option ‘Get Started’ and then click on a hospital or doctor network. Further, the users have to click on ‘Connect to Account’ and type the login information related to the user account for the specific network. Now, click on ‘Allow Access’ and then add your account. From here, click on Next appearing on the confirmation page and then click on Allow. Setting up the Health Records feature is very much similar to enabling the Medical ID feature on the Apple Health app. You can click on Apple Health app on your iPhone. When you will tap on the profile icon in the upper right corner, you will find the Medical ID option. Click on the Medical ID option to enable it. You can click on the Edit button visible in the upper right to freely fill out your Medical ID. Also, Apple allows the users to hide or show any category they think fit. Here, you can also remove or add emergency contacts. Once you fill in everything correctly, click on the Done button visible at the top-right of your iPhone screen. Adding Medical Records to Apple Health: Why Is It a Good Idea? Next time after setting up the Health Records feature, when you will visit the Summary section in the Apple Health app, you will find a shortcut to the medical records appearing at the top of the screen. Here, you have to click on that card to see the expanded details from the medical records. Besides, you can click on the Browse page and while scrolling down all the way, click on the network you added to it. Either way, you can view the things such as heart rate, immunizations, blood pressure, and other information you have collected during your doctor visit. Apart from viewing the latest medical records, the users can keep scroll down to view older medical records also that the network still has them on file. You can access all this information through your doctor apps or websites. But, the integration of this information with the Apple Health app gives the iPhone owners a standalone place for all of their medical information. For example, if someone wants to reference a medication their doctor prescriber, they can quickly see on this app. Similarly, the users can see when they were last infected with flu or check their lab results for any recent test, and many more. iPhone users can see all these and much more crucial medical information on this Apple Health app quickly in a few clicks. Viewing medical information on Apple Health is a lot more convenient and more excellent when compared to a lot of other network apps. It has made it easier for iPhone users to get a complete picture of their overall well-being. Apple Health app has proved it’s a necessity every time whenever users have used it correctly. However, the only downside to the health records feature in Apple Health is that it is not supported by every single hospital or doctor currently. The list for adding doctors and hospitals is very long, and the tech giant is adding more and more every time. So, you don’t need to be discouraged if you fail to find a particular network on your app. Have patience, give the tech giant some time, and keep checking every couple of months.
