Last year NVIDIA has released three new mobile Ampere GPUs for laptops – GeForce RTX 3080, GeForce RTX 3070, and GeForce RTX 3060. Taking the reference of these main tiers, several manufacturers have designed and developed millions of combinations, leading to an array of RTX 30 series mobile configs. NVIDIA is still not yet finished, some recent leaks suggest what to expect from NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti flagships.

These two graphics chips will undoubtedly be made to be placed into some budget-friendly laptops. Regarding their specifications, leaks suggest the new GeForce RTX 3050 Ti will accommodate the budget laptops with 2560 CUDA cores and 4GB GDDR6 memory tied to a 128-bit bus interface giving a memory bandwidth of about 88 GB per second.

Similar to the existing lineups, the upcoming RTX 3050 Ti will also have a TDP range on which equipment manufacturers can work ranging between 80W to 35W. Here are some possible power configs and boost frequency blends –

80W – 1,695MHz

60W – 1,485MHz

50W – 1,410MHz

35W – 1,035MHz

Talking about the non-Ti variant the GeForce RTX 3050, the leak suggests it features 2048 CUDA cores along with the same memory management as of Ti variant. Similar to the above, its clock speed will depend on the OEMs chosen power target. Here some combinations are –

80W – 1,740MHz

60W – 1,500MHz

50W – 1,455MHz

35W – 1,057MHz

Of course, the clock speeds are a bit faster here, but still, it’s not enough to offset the fewer CUDA cores. However, the good thing is it should enable real-time ray tracing support to even cheaper gaming laptops.

In terms of performance, the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti remarkably outshine NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 in Tomb Rider, achieving a triple-digit frame rate at medium settings. However, it remains competitive at ultra settings getting about 69fps.

On the other hand, the non-Ti version RTX 3050, manages to surpass GeForce GTX 1650 Ti but is just a bit slower than GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q. It manages to hit the desirable 60 FPS at both medium and ultra settings.

Well, there is no sure evidence about how exact the data is? We have to wait until these parts actually exist. Perhaps this leak is encouraging, especially if these GPUs will roll out with affordable prices as the GPU prices are skyrocketing at the moment particularly the NVIDIA and AMD’s new offerings.

However, if you are living in the UAE, you may luckily find the graphics cards online at gear-up.me at reasonable prices. Gear-up.me is UAE’s trusted online store where you can find a huge collection of processors, GPUs, storage devices, cases, motherboards, laptops, and more at affordable prices.
