'Blade' is an upcoming American action adventure fantasy horror sci-fi superhero film. It is based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. It will be an installment of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is written by Gene Colan, Stacy Osei-Kuffour and Marv Wolfman. Earlier this year, it was reported that HBO Watchmen writer Stacy Osei-Kuffour was hired by Marvel Studios to lead the Blade script. This was the first major development coming from the project since it was initially announced almost two years ago.
