Although Supercut India manufacturing & service team is happy to troubleshoot some problems and provide guidance, customers can often achieve better cutting results on their own through the following questions. before I want to tell you Supercut Cutting & Welding Industries is the best CNC Plasma cutting machine manufacturer in India. Which provide the best quality machines.

Are you cutting in the right direction?

With standard consumables, the plasma arc rotates clockwise as the torch moves forward in the cut. The square cut angles will be on the right side of the arc. As a result, contour shapes are cut in a clockwise direction, whereas with internal features, the torch needs to travel in a counter-clockwise direction. Check and adjust cutting direction if necessary.

Are you using good consumables?

Perform a visual check to see if consumables are dinged or damaged. These are precision parts so surface imperfections of any kind can affect system performance. Replace consumables if necessary. Be sure to lubricate the O-rings when changing consumables, but do not over-lubricate as this will affect system performance as well. Although less common, we also sometimes find customers who inadvertently received and put the wrong consumables in torch. If you continue to have problems, we recommend making sure that the part numbers on your consumables match the numbers found in your owner's manual.

Are you following the cut charts?

Refer to the cut chart in your system manual and select the right appropriate process for your cutting application. Select the appropriate process for the type of material, thickness of the material, desired cut quality and the productivity goals. Based on these factors, the cut chart will list the required consumables along with the appropriate plasma and shield gases. In addition, the cut parameter will list the appropriate gas pressure (or flow rate), working distance from the torch, arc voltage and cutting speed.

Is your torch square to the workpiece?

Before squaring the torch to the workpiece, check whether the table and the workpiece are level. Keep in mind that if the metal is bent or deformed, it may be impossible to square the torch and you may need to accept a less than ideal cut quality.

Are you holding the right torch to work distance ?

Sometimes referred to as a "stand-off," you'll want to make sure your torch isn't too close or too far from the workpiece as this will cause in angled and rounded cut edges. Also, if the torch is too close, metal splatters blowing onto the torch can seriously damage your nozzle and torch . Lastly, don't forget to regularly adjust the torch to the working distance as your consumables wear out.

Are you cutting at the right speed?

The Dross is a great visual clue that lets you know whether your cut is too fast or too slow. Low-speed dross is bubbly or globular molten material that collects under(bottom) of the cut edge. This types of dross is easy to remove and flakes off the plate. To finish & eliminate it on future parts, cut the faster. Conversely, high-speed aggregates cause a thin bead of molten metal to collect at the bottom of the cut. Unfortunately, high-speed aggregates are harder to remove and therefore require grinding. However the solution is simple. Decrease your cutting speed to give the arc time to catch up with the torch's speed & motion.

How is your air or gas quality?

If you are using air plasma, make sure your air is very clean and dry. The same applies to your gas when using oxygen or multi-gas systems. Always use pure, the high quality gas and appropriately sized regulators and gas lines. If a manual purge is required, confirm that the purification cycle was completed. Check to see if gas is leaking, or if flow is restricted. Contact your gas distributor for help if needed.

Does your table need a tune-up?

Is the table cutting at the specified speed? Is the torch tightly secured to the table gantry? How is your table speed? Is it vibrating? Often, plasma cutting issues have nothing to do with plasma and are instead due to poor speed or other table issues. If you've gone through the last seven questions and are still having issues, this could very well be the cause, in which case you should consult with your table manufacturer.
