In the wake of on-going speculations regarding calling off the nation wide lock down, Indian Railway has something to announce Officially. Keeping in mind the outgrowing number of cases of people getting infected with the deadly Coronavirus, Indian Railway has announced to cancel bookings in three prime trains till 30th April. Officials from Railways announced the same on 7th April, 2020 that following train bookings will not be available till April month end:
  • Kashi Mahakaal Express: This train runs between Varanasi and Indore route. As we all are aware that Indore is worst affected in terms of Corona Virus infections. The Kashi Mahakal Express connects three places -- Jyotirlinga - Omkareshwar (near Indore in Madhya Pradesh), Mahakaleshwar (Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh) and Kashi Vishwanath (Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh), besides also connecting the industrial and educational hub of Indore, and Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Its commercial run began from Feb 20, 2020.
  • Tejas Express: This train runs between Lucknow and Delhi route.
  • Ahmedabad Mumbai Tejas Express
All the tickets booked during this period in the aforesaid trains would be automatically cancelled and the travelers would be getting full refund of their booking amount in their respective accounts. This is a major decision in order to keep Indian citizens safer during this period. Also Railway has issued a quick video on things to take care during this pandemic:
