The poster that indicated the salaries are higher and $16.80 is the minimum amount paid per hour. But, consider the other "facts".
1) Canada has a colder climate - OK if you enjoy the cold.
2) You might make more money in your paycheck, but when you make purchases, you'll pay the GST and PST taxes which are much greater than the sales taxes in the U.S.
3) Depending on where you plan on living, house prices will most likely be higher. Some housing in the Toronto area makes house prices in NoVA look like a bargain.
