Quality and diversity in story and technology have always been at the forefront of the New Media Film Festival®. What makes this year especially different is how they are programming. An Unprecedented Line-up of Story, Technology Leaders, and Talent at 14th New Media Film Festival® Los Angeles/Hybrid Programming includes 106 New Media films & content.  37 World – 10 US – 41 L.A. Premieres Judges from Marvel, HBO, PBS, BBC, ABC, GRAMMYS, EMMYS, Simon & Schuster. $45,000 in Awards. From 22 countries – Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, Faroe Islands, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, United States, Uruguay What this means. Freedom. Freedom to program stories for a more enjoyable experience as well as having people that normally would not experience a category now has a chance to participate. Instead. the entire programming was based on the flow of the story from beginning to end. To have the audience think about how they relate and what category is pretty awesome. ABOUT: The festival's mandate is, Honoring Stories Worth Telling in 28 categories of classic & technology programming, and this year an unprecedented challenge occurred. The traditional block of screenings by genre or theme did not flow well for a great audience or content-creator experience.   Content for each day of the festival was programmed from the total. So, the audience is seeing stories unfold in a manner that takes you on experiences with no bearing on which of the 28 categories they are a nominee.
