It's under the Adam's apple, which is the prominence of the thyroid cartilage. The thyroid gland is divided into two lobes. On the other side of your windpipe, you'll find them. When T3 or T4 levels in the blood are low, the pituitary gland releases more TSH to tell the thyroid gland that it needs to create more thyroid hormones.
