Though you don’t know the exact time for project completion, you should set a timeline for the contractor to complete the project. But don’t forget to keep a grace period on your set timeline because you cannot predict the future. Things like weather, processing at the permit office, or shipment can increase the time for the project.

Setting a general timeline will hold your contractor accountable. If not exactly on time, the contractor will try to complete the job around your set timeline.

One important tip- You shouldn’t rush your contractor at any step. If you think the contractor is delaying intentionally, you should take the necessary steps but without impacting your home remodeling process.
