At the same time, however, it is a very young field that is developing extremely fast, even compared to rapid developments in other areas of IT. With this text we begin a series of articles that will deal with software development at present. Today we will focus on the software architecture and especially on the person who designs it. As a software architect and analyst, I have to constantly follow the latest developments in my field to be able to choose the best possible solutions for our customers and to be able to answer all their questions. You might not guess what such a SW architect has to deal with every day. Paradoxically, his responsibilities are not so different from the classical architect who designs buildings. Judge for yourself: They must get acquainted with all the requirements of the project He must always keep in mind all the circumstances of the project Based on this, he selects materials for construction He must also know related fields He will then design the building according to all these requirements (Sometimes) they must oversee the quality during construction so that it does not deviate from the original plans Well, SW architects do basically the same thing.
