To understand the success and influence of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, people must reflect on its somewhat humble beginnings. The mangaka of the anime, Hirohiko Araki, is almost certainly an immortal. He has mastered the art of drawing. And in the footsteps of numerous quality artists in Japan, he tried his hands in mangas. He started with short serials of his former works. Following some modest success with them, he struck the jackpot with Jojo’s bizarre adventure. This horror-action manga is about an upright young man. He gathers his strength and nerve to overcome his wicked adopted brother, who transforms himself into a vampire.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Is A Unique Manga In Several Ways

Contrary to numerous popular mangas, the scale of this manga doesn’t remain small. Araki does not continue with the rather restricted characters and story structure at his disposal. Instead, he ends the saga of Jonathan Joestar and Dio and fast-forwards to a new story of Joseph, Jonathan’s descendant. He portrays Joseph as a much more subtle and fascinating protagonist.

All of a sudden, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure turned from a story of a sibling rivalry to a marathon, decades-spanning narrative of a complete lineage. With this changed approach, Araki kept Jojo running and kept it fresh.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure isn’t the first manga to enliven things with periodic introduction of new generations of protagonists. However, it scores over other series in this department. It’s like the anime Naruto, in that the son fills in the shoes of his father for keeping the interest of the new audience. However, it becomes more interesting for the new audience. They can relish it without knowing years of backstory.

The more recurrent time skips of Jojo gives the anime a whole new landscape. It starts as a horror-premised martial arts manga and grows to be a psychic battle manga. Even more significant than the change in fight procedure is how Jojo persistently changes genres following a time skip. The different parts have wildly different stories. And you have more possibilities of JJBA Merch.

All The Parts Of The Series Have A Different Story

Phantom Blood is mostly the archetypal Gothic horror narrative. Battle Tendency is best described as a globe-trotting adventure in the lines of Indiana-jones. Stardust Crusaders is best described as an odyssey that has a clear destination with some elements of road trip films. Diamond is Unbreakable is a homicide mystery in one place with numerous characters who come and go. Part 5 and Part 6 are gangster flick and jailbreak stories, respectively. Part 7 steps back to a cross-country race during the change of a century. Part 8 has more horror-mystery elements. You can get JJBA Merch for the part you like.

This Manga Series Gets Better With Time

Araki makes a lot of progress throughout Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure in two departments. The artwork was always good. But, throughout the series, you see jaw-dropping artwork. His characters were always quirky and likeable. As the series progresses, you get to see more realistic, subtle human beings. And you will like the ever-evolving story. You will stay immersed in the book or screen and won’t get bored.
