Microsoft usually updates its software automatically to the latest available edition, but you can also manually upgrade your Office software.
You have to follow several steps and onscreen instructions based on the Microsoft Office edition you are using. It is always recommended to verify the Office edition you have before beginning the manual update process. Here are the simple instructions to follow if you want to install Microsoft Office Updates on your device, whether you have the Office 365 subscription or a one-time purchase plan of Microsoft Office version.
For Office 2019 or Newer Version
If you have the latest edition of Microsoft Office 2019, you need to follow these straightforward steps to install its relevant updates:
Firstly, you should launch the Office application on your device. It can be Excel, Word, Outlook, or PowerPoint.
Then, you need to launch the File menu and go to the Account section.
In case you have MS Outlook, it will display you a specific Office account rather than a simple account.
After that, you have to choose the “Product Information” tab and then hit the Update Options there. It will provide you the option “Update Now” to upgrade your Office subscription. Tap the same and proceed.
Wait for a while, and after some time, you will get a particular message via a new window that will say, “You are up to date!”
Note: If you are facing issues, then it means that you need to turn on Updates before selecting “Enable Now” option there.
