In our society and most families, parents and teens end up in unintentional generation conflicts, conflicts between lack of information and understanding, because of unrealistic rules and expectations on the part of parents, who unfortunately create gaps between them, instead of creating links that could bring them closer together. Parents are often confused and disoriented, usually wondering what happened to their adorable children whom they saw growing up before their eyes. Their happy, charming children suddenly transforms into sullen, frustrated teenagers who are torn apart by the misunderstanding and conflicts they face in spite of themselves. It is important to note that adolescence is an extremely sensitive passage that requires a lot of attention and understanding from the parents. Because it is by this passage that the child will become adult, and where the big decisions call for the future. Adolescence is a period full of conflicting feelings and thoughts as emotions will always go beyond reason in any situation. In this conference we will start by enlightening parents on the difference between adolescence and puberty, many confuse them and consider these two terms synonymous when it is false. In principle, adolescence presents as an external approach to oneself, it is a period of life, a social and psychological transition between childhood and adulthood. The teenager is often anxious to know if he is accepted in his environment or not; he has a social life or a group membership, etc. In general, during this period of his life, he cultivates the fear of rejection. If this fear is not understood and reassured by the parents, it risks creating a significant psychic imbalance. Scientifically speaking, the adolescent's brain has not yet finished its growth and can do only one thing: to absorb experiences without thinking that they are good or bad, and of course any interpretation made by its environment that it is positive or negative without selecting anything or filtering. During childhood and adolescence, the most developed parts of the brain are the reptilian (or survival) and limbic (or emotional) brains. The adolescent is largely guided 'with these two parts of his brain, while the prefrontal lobe (or the brain of reflection) does not finish its development until the majority of times up to the age of 21 years. This scientific truth marks the most crucial point of this discussion, that of understanding the significant gap between reason and emotions in adolescents. As for puberty, it's presented with an internal approach. It is a phase defined by the body's development because of the hormones which are beginning to be felt. It is animated by the physiological or corporal change as well as by life emotionally. The role of parents is vital during this phase, so do not ask too much for their children about the logic or reason; instead, validate their emotions. Whatever they are, good or bad, listen to them with empathy and give them a lot of attention by avoiding guilt, of course. Accept them as they are with love and understanding, respect them as human beings to allow the hormonal flow that flows into their bodies to follow its natural course. There's physiological change to stabilize and balance emotions, mind, and body in a friendly environment, calm and serene. It usually remembers that whatever the situation of the moment, the feelings of adolescents will always exceed their reason.
