Where I work a magnetic glass board and more.A few weeks back, I painted a glass board in my office with both magnetic paint and colour paint, so now I've got myself a fancy pants office magnetic glass board! Remarkable, best!? I've wished to alter my office for a long time, and finally, it struck me precisely what I wanted. So I picked up Rust-oleum magnetic primer and a large piece of glass board and triggered to work!The magnetic paint was type of an inconvenience. I probably would not use it ever again. It was remarkably tough to mix. All the magnetic particles or whatever were simply in a solid three-inch glob at the bottom. My arms were actually sore from mixing this things. (If you pick some up in your area ask someone in the paint department to throw it in the blending device for you real quick to make it a bit easier!) On top of that, it took two full cans and what felt like a billion coats to even get it remotely magnetic. I'm actually thankful I didn't decide to paint an even bigger location than this, that would have been crazy.Let's speak about just how much the magnetic guide stinks! I had all my windows open, the fan running, taking all the preventative measures I 'd typically take when painting. A couple of hours after I was done painting, I started smelling gas. I called the gas company and started a mini go crazy. I grabbed all 4 felines, put them in 3 providers and pushed them in my vehicle. Then ran back in the house, grabbed a bunch of things that were special to me and pulled my car out into the roadway and waited on the gas business to arrive. Almost an hour later on the man appears, and I take him into the house. Long story short, he didn't smell anything, his device couldn't spot any gas, and he asked if I 'd be painting. How embarrassing!! I'm not 100% sure why it took so long for the smell to get to me especially due to the fact that it never ever actually smelled in the space I was painting however after I started painting again with the second can I realized this things does sort of smell like gas.Anyway, back to my little task. The next day, after that was all dry, I applied the orange colour paint on the glass board, which was a breeze compared to the magnetic things. I painted two coats and waited on a few days prior to "conditioning" it (which is just rubbing down the whole thing in chalk, so it's easier to remove.) Easy peasy! I like how it doesn't in fact look like I painted the glass board itself however hung a big piece of a coloured magnetic whiteboard.Regardless of being a little bit of pain in the butt, I'm extremely pleased with how this ended up even if I need to utilize very strong magnets and everything is now covered in a fine layer of chalk dust. Ha! I would not advise utilizing the magnetic primer if you're trying to find something simple, inexpensive or really strong but the coloured glass board paint is terrific. It's super cool to be able to write on a large glass board that hangs right on my wall!In addition to that little task, I also cleared out the closet in this room that was home to lots of random things, a lot of which now are at the charity. With that closet clean, I had the ability to move among my clothing racks therein, which freed up a lots of room and made the space SO much brighter. I stacked my shoe racks, so they used up less floor area and relocated a table for succulents. I'm so pleased with this room now. It's fantastic just how much of a distinction little changes to the office like that can make.I enjoy this little office of mine, however next time I will utilize a professional company to make me amagnetic glass board!
