macgillivray tartan

In the 15th century, the MacGillivrays were established within Dunmaglas within Strathnairn and remained at Dunmaglas for four centuries. The three MacGillivrays were the first to sign Clan Chattan bonds of the union at the beginning of the 17th century. They also played a key part in the Jacobite risings during the late 18th century. The MacGillivray tartan is made up of red and forest green. It also has navy blue, and sky blue.
