Other Differences Between Mask Ratings Besides the 1% difference in filtration, there are some small differences on other factors. § For example, the standards require N95 masks to be somewhat easier to breathe out of (“exhalation resistance”). § Korean masks are required to test for “CO2 clearance,” which prevents CO2 from building up inside the mask. In contrast, N95 masks don’t have this requirement. However, concerns about CO2 buildup may be overblown. For example, one study found that, even during moderate exercise, women wearing N95 masks had no difference in blood oxygen levels. § To get the mask label certified, Korea requires human fit-tests, like the one I’m doing below. The US N95 certification does not require a fit test. However, that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t do fit tests with N95 masks. The US agency that regulates workplace safety (OSHA) require workers in certain industries to get fit-tested once a year. It’s just that fit tests aren’t required for the manufacturer to get the N95 label. The warnings were issued over the space of five days early in December, covering three main issues - phishing, account changes and accounts being compromised. Gedey said: “These are issues that we at Thompson and Holt deal with on a daily basis, and which all Amazon Sellers need to be aware of. “We regularly provide advice and guidance on what happens in these three situations, but it’s good to see that Amazon are taking an active role in warning Sellers themselves. “It’s always better to be forewarned in these situations, although if you have found yourself locked out of your account suspended or compromised at what it a crucial time of the year for Amazon Sellers, then contact Thompson and Holt.” The three warnings from Amazon are shown below. The first, on December 7, was titled “Watch out for phishing,” and covered attempts to steal Amazon Sellers’ confidential information, including user name, password, or One Time Password via an email or other direct communication. It read: “A hacker can fake sender information, tricking you into believing the message is from Amazon, while directing you to another website that is designed to steal your account information. Amazon takes this issue very seriously, and to make it easy to identify phishing attempts, we will never ask you to verify sensitive information over email. “While domains can appear legitimate at first glance, Amazon will never ask you to log in to a website other than ‘sellercentral.amazon.com’ or ‘amazon.com’. Please also note that if you receive emails about your account health, you can check the Account Health page in Seller Central to confirm their legitimacy. Whenever in doubt, go directly to Amazon or the Seller Central website in your web browser and send any suspicious emails you receive to stop-spoofing@amazon.com.” Two days later a further warning was published titled: “Keep an eye out for important account change notifications”. It explained: “After any important changes to your selling account’s banking, credential, or Two-Step Verification settings, Amazon will send you an email alert. If you receive these email alerts and do not recall making any account changes, please review your account and take steps to protect yourself if necessary. “If you receive a One Time Password sent to your Two-Step Verification enabled device and you are not actively logging in to Amazon seller blog, reset your password immediately and review your account for any other unauthorized changes.” The third warning arrived on December 11 under the heading “Know what to do if your account has been compromised” It stated: “Immediately reset your password under Account Settings.
