4 Tips when you buy your first office chair
So, you’re working from home now. Your boss has approved your request to leave office and do your accounting work in the comfort of your house.
But hey, you need some office furniture for this. Initially, you maybe using your kitchen table and chair for this. But know what? You can’t stay in that situation for long.
Imagine sitting in that stiff kitchen chair for eight hours. You’d hurt your back in a couple of months.
So, here’s my advice. Get a real office chairs.
And here’s my tip on how to choose an office chair.
1. Get the mid-back type. Sure, you will be comfortable. Your back is rested as it leans on the well cushioned backrest. Hi-back types would have been better if not for the cost.
2. Choose a chair with armrest. You’d be delighted with this. Imagine leaning on the comfy backrest with both of your arms resting on the armrest. Very restful.
3. Pick the gas-lift type. This one would take care of your knee and back. What happens is that when your knee is not aligned or is lower than your hip elevation, a potential injury would occur. The injury will not be noticed in one or two months but would eventually surface in three of four months. So, a height adjustable chair is a must.
4. Of course, don’t forget the rollers. Very smooth to slide to get documents that maybe a foot of meter away. No need to stand and push the chair. With the rollers or ballcasters which are attached to the strong starbase, you’re in for sidewards or backwards movement of your chair.
Now, pick this chair from Workzone. We’d be happy to offer you different variations of this type.
