Hello literally everyone. Read this blog for car importation knowledge.

Importing a car from Japan to the United Kingdom is not difficult. However, you'll have to deal with a lot of paperwork. You must choose your car carefully because several countries in the UK are strict about ensuring safe and environmentally-friendly vehicles on the roads.
Let's see the steps for car import process from Japan to UK -
FIRST, YOU MUST SELECT THE CAR YOU WANT TO BUY.
You can select a vehicle from an auction sheet that lists used Japanese vehicles for sale. For your purchase, they have a good selection of high-quality vehicles.
The Grading System can assist you in determining the condition of a used vehicle. Popular brands such as Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and others offer a wide range of car designs and options.
AFTER SELECTING A VEHICLE, THE NEXT STEP WILL BE TO FIND A RELIABLE AND REPUTABLE EXPORTER OR DEALER.
Not all exporters and business owners are trustworthy. When buying a used car, make sure it has all of the required vehicle registration documentation. Check if an exporter is a member of JUMVEA or JETRO before purchasing a vehicle from them.
NOW, AFTER YOU HAVE PURCHASED THE CAR, YOU MUST SET UP SHIPPING.
Choose the closest shipping port to your current location. Bristol, Southampton, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Tilbury are some of the most well-known UK shipping ports. Notify HMRC about your vehicle. This can be done after your vehicle is delivered, but no later than 14 days following shipping.
Otherwise, you will be unable to register the vehicle without difficulty. There's no need to notify HMRC if it's an unusual vehicle.
YOUR CAR WILL BE INSPECTED BY THE DRIVER AND VEHICLE STANDARD AGENCY (DVSA).
To ensure safety on public highways, it must pass the Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) test.
BEFORE LEAVING THE PORT WITH THE VEHICLE, YOU MUST SHOW THE CUSTOMS DOCUMENT IN THE UK WHEN YOU BUY A CAR FROM JAPAN.
Here are the docs you'll need:
a) 'Bill of Landing,' as it's known.
b) The DVLA issues a driver's license.
c) Ownership papers are a type of document that is used to prove who owns something.
d) a paper describing the coverage provided by a motor vehicle insurance company
e) Affidavit of residence
f) Certificate of deregistration
AFTER YOUR VEHICLE ARRIVES, YOU MUST PAY THE TAX.
The import duty is 10% of the total purchase price. Other taxes include 20% import VAT, recycling & auction fees, UK customs clearance & port fees, and UK customs clearance & port fees. However, not all of these costs are required. In certain ways, the costs could be decreased or eliminated.
IT'S TIME TO REGISTER THE CAR AFTER ALL THE FORMALITIES.
If the vehicle is 10 years old, it must pass an MOT and fill out a V55/5 form. It requires an SVA certificate if it is less than ten years old. An IVA exam is required if it is less than three years old.
These are the major part you should know for importing a Japanese used car from Japan. Hope you get some help.
