Denver, CO, USA, May 20, 2023 -- More than 80 American classic automobiles from the collection of Jay Soneff – a dedicated car collector and owner of Soneff Master Garage in Denver – will be sold without reserves on Saturday, June 10th, online and live at the Soneff-owned warehouse located at 3825 Grape Street in Denver, starting at 10 am Mountain time. Online bidding is via Proxibid.com.
Most of the cars will be Mopar (Dodge an d Plymouth) muscle cars from the 1960s and ‘70s. These will include originals, restored cars and project cars. The auction will be conducted by VanDerBrink Auctions, LLC, based in Minnesota. “There is something for everyone, from a survivor 1970 Super Bird to multiple Mopar project cars,” said auctioneer Yvette VanDerBrink.
VanDerBrink added, “This very special auction features many rare and hard-to-find Mopars and Mopar project cars, including multiple Coronet R/Ts, Road Runners, Super Bees, Chargers and many more. The collection has everything from survivors to project cars – a car lover’s dream.”
While the vast majority of cars will be Mopar, the auction will also feature AMX, Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Hudson, AMC and Jeep. “Jay was raised in a family that appreciated the automobile,” VanDerBrink said. “His Dad was into cars and Jay was raised around Hudsons and appreciated their style and performance, but it was the Mopar muscle that grabbed his attention.”
In addition to the 1970 Super Bird survivor car (meaning one that’s never been re-painted) with less than 57,000 miles, other Plymouths will include two beautifully restored 1969 Road Runners (one convertible, one hard-top); five other 1969 Road Runners; a 1971 and 1972 Road Runner; a 1970 and 1972 Satellite; a rare 1963 Sport Fury convertible; and a 1959 Fury two-door hardtop.
Then there are the Barracudas, arguably the most desirable of all the muscle cars from the era. Offered for bid are a 1967 Barracuda convertible; a 1968 Barracuda Type S coupe; three other 1968 Barracudas; a 1969 Barracuda S convertible; a 1969 Barracuda Type S coupe; three 1968 Barracudas; a 1970 Barracuda; a 1972 ‘Cuda; GTS’s, GTX’s, and two 1971 Plymouth Dusters.
The Dodge offerings will be no less impressive. These will include 1970 and 1971 Challenger convertibles; a 1973 Challenger; a 1970 Challenger; a 1971 Charger R/T survivor car; a 1970 Charger RT/SE; 1967, 1969, 1970 and 1972 Chargers (the ’72 painted Petty Blue); a 1968 Charger Coronet 500; two 1969 Super Bees; and three 1968 and two 1969 Coronet R/T’s.
Other Dodges will feature a 1969 Coronet; two 1967 Coronet R/T’s; a 1972 Demon; a 1969 Dart GT; a 1963 Polara convertible; a 1969 Dart Swinger; and more. Ford will be represented by a 1970 Mustang Mach 1 project car; a 1972 Mustang Mach 1; a 1980 Pinto wagon (famous for its gas tanks that burst into flames when hit from behind); and a 1983 Mustang 5.OHO convertible.
General Motors (Pontiac/Chevrolet/Oldsmobile) will also make an appearance, with a gorgeous 1960 Chevrolet Impala two-door hardtop; a 1964 Chevrolet Bel Air sedan with a 396 c.i. V-8 engine; a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS coupe project car; a 1976 Pontiac Trans Am 455 HO; a 1966 Oldsmobile Jet Star two-door hardtop; and an original Pontiac Bonneville Salt Flats racer.
The Hudson/AMC/Jeep offerings will include a 1954 Hudson Hornet Twin H Hollywood coupe; a 1940 Hudson Country Club 8 sedan; a 1946 Hudson Super Six coupe; a 1953 Hudson Hornet Twin H sedan; a 1969 AMC Javelin SST coupe; a 1982 Jeep Scrambler pickup; and a 1974 Jeep Wagoneer Cherokee Edition. Jay Soneff has been into cars ever since he can remember. “When I was three years old I could tell the make and model of every car on the street,” he said with a chuckle. Cars are in his DNA. He got it from his late father, named John, who ran a parking lot business, did cars on the side and in the ‘60s bought a big parking garage that was used as a general automotive repair shop.
Father John’s first car was a 1932 roadster he bought while in high school. His best friend’s father owned a Hudson dealership, and that’s what got him deep into Hudsons, a love affair he passed along to his son. Young Jay’s first car was also purchased in high school: a 1927 Ford ‘Bucket T’ street rod, with J-2 three-deuce setup, Olds motor and Lincoln/Zephyr transmission.
He eventually traded that car for a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, a swap that got him and his father to thinking: why not start a business dedicated entirely to classic American cars, with an emphasis on muscle cars from the ‘60s and ‘70s? Before long Soneff Master Garage was born in Denver, and today it remains as one of the premier dealerships for rare, classic American cars.
Growing up in the muscle car era, young Jay spent a lot of time at Bandimere Speedway for Friday night drags and at 16th Street downtown Denver for the Saturday night cruise. When he rebuilt that first 426 Hemi for a GTX convertible, he was hooked for life. That also was a factor that led to him and his father to form Soneff Master Garage, where they worked side-by-side.
One Saturday not long ago, while working at his shop, Jay got a call from a man claiming to be the comedian and legendary car collector Jay Leno. “At first I thought it was a prank,” he said, “but then I recognized the voice. He said he was in town to do his act and wanted to stop by and say hello. I told him I’d come pick him up at his hotel.” Leno said, “No, I’d rather walk there.”
So a little while later, Jay Leno comes strolling in, with his trademark giant chin and shock of white hair. “He couldn’t have been nicer,” Soneff said. “He took me to lunch, gave me tickets to his show that night and even spotted a car he wanted. “The car he asked about wasn’t for sale, so I had to tell him no,” Soneff recalled. “But it was great meeting and talking cars with Jay Leno.”
In addition to the more than 80 cars in the June 10th auction, Jay has around 50 other cars that won’t be sold. He said cars are a passion, and a source of income, but his main bread and butter comes from his real estate investments – downtown Denver parking lots, apartment buildings and other properties. “As for cars, my philosophy has always been to just enjoy them,” he said.
Jay also stressed that now would be a perfect time to invest in a project car, what with the value of the completed projects skyrocketing and the cost of restoration materials such as sheet metal and the like very reasonable at today’s current prices. “In the case of the muscle cars pretty much everything you need in terms of material is readily available, making restoration easy,” he said.
An open-house preview will be held the day before the auction, on Friday, June 9th, from 10-6 Mountain time, at the Soneff-owned warehouse in Denver. Masks are recommended but not required. For more info about the sale of the Soneff Master Garage collection, consisting of more than 80 mostly Mopar muscle cars from the 60s and 70s, visit www.VanderBrinkAuctions.com.

Garnet Valley, PA, USA, May 19, 2023 -- A rare and important gilt bronze Tibetan Buddha blasted through its $200-$300 pre-sale estimate to finish at a staggering $200,000 in an online Fine Estates Auction held March 24th by Briggs Auction, Inc. The piece, pulled from a Main Line, Pennsylvania estate, generated auction fever from almost the moment it was posted until the hammer came down. It was the most ever paid for a single item at Briggs Auction, Inc.
What made this Buddha so special? "It was right, and of exceptional quality," said Stephen Turner, president and owner of Briggs Auction, Inc. "The figure was unusually large at 13 inches tall, and very heavy. The underside of the statue bore a Yongle mark, which added to its historical significance. And the piece's nearly excellent condition certainly added to its value.”
The heavy, 13-inch-tall Tibetan bronze seated Buddha on a carved, 5-inch-tall stand showed a serene-faced figure wearing a draped robe, posed in quiet contemplation on a lotus base, making a graceful vitarka mudra with his right hand. Bidders from around the globe competed over two bidding platforms: Brigg's Auction's own Bid At Briggs, as well as www.Live Auctioneers.com.
All prices quoted in this report are hammer, exclusive of the buyer’s premium.
Other highlights from the sale included a large-format oil on canvas portrait of a partially-clad beauty, titled Lorelei ($32,000); a large set of Georg Jensen Pyramidian pattern sterling flatware with serving pieces ($6,000); a rare Thomas Crow (Wilmington, Del.) signed pocket watch with fusée movement and enameled dial ($5,500); a set of four Gio Ponti Model 116 walnut dining chairs for Singer & Sons ($2, 800); and a Hasui Kawese woodblock of colorful iris flowers, signed at the bottom ($2,600).
Briggs Auction saw other strong prices and enthusiastic reception from several of its other first quarter 2023 auctions, which included a range of market fresh merchandise from Main Line, Pa. and Delaware Valley estates and collections. Some top lots included a lovely, 1921 life-size portrait of a seated woman purportedly Mary Anderson Pew (Mrs. Joseph N. Pew, founder of the Sun Oil Co.) by Hungarian artist Philip de Laszlo ($12,500); a 19th century oil on canvas by Mary Smith depicting rabbits eating a watermelon ($8,000); a super cool 1967 Ford Mustang convertible with original red paint and black top and interior ($15,000); an incredible Italian snuff box in brass and beveled glass depicting various mythological scenes in a fitted velvet case ($7,000); an impressive Baker two-piece Georgian-style linen press with a pierced gilt crest ($3,200); an oil on board winter landscape depicting Deborah's Rock in West Chester, Pa. by 20th century Pennsylvania artist John Suplee ($2,600); and a special Beatrix Potter/Peter Rabbit Collection auction in January that saw three Harrison Cady original Peter Rabbit watercolor and ink paintings realize $2600, $1700, and $1300, respectively.
"The year is off to a great start," Mr. Turner said. "We have some wonderful collections coming up over the next few months and we're confident the rest of the year will be just as big and appealing to our bidders." On tap for May will be an interesting mix of estate farm equipment, a fine selection of estate wine and spirits, our Fine Estates auction (which already has an interesting mix of styles and periods), and the regular Discovery auctions, in which there are always treasures to be found. Planned for June is a fantastic Patio auction, filled with a great selection of outdoor furniture, statuary, planters and garden accessories, and more.

Avon, MA, May 19, 2023 -- SelecTech, Inc., a leader in the manufacture of innovative flooring products with long-term value and immediate benefits, recently announced the expansion of its aerospace division to better serve its airline, aerospace and defense customers. The new division will include specialized product offerings and additional personnel trained to serve aerospace customers.
In addition to its interlocking ESD flooring product, SelecTech’s expanded aerospace will offer its PolyStyle Factory ESD floor to aerospace customers. PolyStyle Factory ESD Floor is most often used for warehouse, factory, and other sensitive working environments and has been found to be very effective for airport hangars in need of ESD flooring to protect electronic equipment from the impacts of static electricity.
“More and more of our aerospace customers are finding that they have a need for ESD flooring, particularly with the advancements in the electronics being used,” said Thomas Ricciardelli, president of SelecTech, Inc. “The new expanded aerospace division has significant experience with surfaces used in the aerospace industry and can quickly and accurately determine if those solutions are working.”
Adds Ricciardelli, “Older styles of resinous ESD flooring systems are often inconsistent and often fail ESD audits.”
PolyStyle uses the most advanced conductive additives to ensure that the finished floor has the most uniform electrical properties throughout the entire floor that are guaranteed for the life of the floor. This gives flooring superior static control properties from the top layer through the bottom.
SelecTech received the by Mexican Technology Award for Best New ESD Material in Mexico for 2021 specifically for its PolyStyle Factory ESD Floor product. They received the award at the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) International held in Minneapolis, MN.

An autograph letter handwritten in German and signed by Ludwig van Beethoven, regarding his only opera, Fidelio; an autograph letter signed by Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson following his historic raid on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad in 1861; and an autograph letter signed by John Adams in 1801 regarding the influence of Virginia Democrats will headline University Archives’ next online-only auction scheduled for Wednesday, May 31st.
The auction – titled Rare Signed Manuscripts, Books & Sports Memorabilia – will start promptly at 11 am Eastern time. All 388 lots in the catalog are up for viewing and bidding now (on the University Archives website: www.UniversityArchives.com), as well as Invaluable.com, Auctionzip.com and LiveAuctioneers.com. Telephone and absentee bids will also be accepted.
“Major collecting categories in our outstanding May auction include music, science and U.S. Presidential, with outstanding autographed material from Ludwig van Beethoven to George Gershwin; from Albert Einstein and Max Planck to Thomas A. Edison; and from George Washington to Joe Biden,” said John Reznikoff, president and owner of University Archives.
Mr. Reznikoff added, “Exceptional items of Civil Rights, military, entertainment, literature, and sports memorabilia will also pass the auction block. Our lavishly illustrated catalog is up and ready for viewing/bidding right now. This is truly a great collecting and buying opportunity.”
The undated autograph letter in German signed by Beethoven (as “Beethoven”) also features excellent musical content relating to his only opera, Fidelio, a love story about a wife disguised as a man rescuing her husband from a political prison. Beethoven’s letter was addressed to Friedrich Sebastian Mayer, the baritone singer who played Don Pizarro, the prison governor in the first two productions of Fidelio. The letter carries a pre-sale estimate of $80,000-$100,000.
Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson wrote a one-page autograph letter signed to a neighbor on June 29, 1861, as commander of the 1st Brigade of the Confederate Army. Earlier that spring, Jackson had conducted multiple raids against the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, one of the Union Army’s main supply lines, destroying tracks and bridges and confiscating locomotives (est. $12,000-$15,000).
John Adams wrote an autograph letter, signed and dated March 31, 1801, addressed to Isaiah Thomas, Jr., the Worcester printer of the formerly Boston-based Patriot weekly Massachusetts Spy. In it, Adams wonders if Massachusetts is being overrun by the “moral and political opinions of Virginia” in a reference to the ascendant Thomas Jefferson and other Virginia Democrats (est. $7,000-$8,000).
There are three lots related to Albert Einstein in the sale. One is a remarkable script from the mid-1940s NBC TV series Your World Tomorrow, signed by him as “A. Einstein” on the front cover. In the pilot episode, “The Atom,” Einstein’s discovery of his famous equation E=MC2 is dramatized via dialogue between “Einstein” and two fictional characters. There are very few examples of Einstein’s inscribing his famous formula in something other than a book, making this example particularly desirable (est. $40,000-$50,000).
George Washington boldly signed an October 21, 1799 letter addressed to a Revolutionary War veteran named Captain Abraham Shepherd in the former’s capacity as Commander-in-Chief of Federal Armies under the Adams administration. Washington assumed command of the military after his second presidential term ended, up until his death in Dec. 1799 two months later (est. $20,000-$30,000).
Martin Luther King, Jr. signed a typed letter on “Southern Christian Leadership Conference” stationery in 1966, concerning the use of the “N” word. To the inquiring man from Haddonfield, N.J., King wrote: “The word ‘n--r’ carries with it a meaning deeply rooted in the debilitating racist caste ordering of our society’s slavery epoch and segregation era” (est. $18,000-$20,000).
Abraham Lincoln penned an 1862 autograph note regarding a brigade surgeon’s appointment in the Excelsior Brigade. The battle unit had been plagued by political in-fighting between disgraced former New York Congressman Daniel Sickles, and his nemesis, New York Governor Edwin Morgan. Lincoln’s note acknowledges the strained political climate (est. $7,500-$10,000).
An archive of World War II-dated correspondence from Charles Sweeney, pilot of Bockscar, paints a vivid portrait of Air Force life before and after the dropping of the atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Sweeney flew to Hiroshima in The Great Artiste auxiliary plane and dropped “Fat Man” from Bockscar over Nagasaki on August 9, 1945 (est. $5,000-$10,000).
A three-page autograph letter signed by Beatrice Houdini on mourning stationery, dated Nov. 9, 1926, provides a moving account of her husband’s death less than two weeks earlier, on October 31st. The letter was uncovered in Germany and quite possibly has never been published. In it, Beatrice laments, “The world has lost a Genius, but I have lost my Man” (est. $5,000-$10,000).
James Joyce signed a limited edition first edition copy of Finnegans Wake (1939), considered one of the most difficult books in the English language. Finnegans Wake was much more ambitious in literary aims than even Joyce’s subversive Ulysses (1922). The partly uncut and unopened book appears to be unread, and is in near pristine condition (est. $7,000-$8,000).
Sports items include signed photos, autographed baseballs, game-worn apparel, vintage posters and ephemera from the likes of Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Joe DiMaggio, and Muhammad Ali. A group of six game-worn baseball helmets and jerseys from the Baltimore Orioles, circa 1990-2016, comes complete with grading and authentication from JSA and Mears (est. $900-$1,000).
A lengthy, five-page letter in French signed “Toussaint Louverture” as the General in Chief of the Army of Saint-Domingue, Haiti, dated July 18, 1798 and addressed to ”Citoyen Vincent”, Haiti’s French director of fortifications, including the observation, “the blacks have received their former masters with open arms,” should bring $10,000-$12,000.
University Archives has become world-renowned as a go-to source for rare items of this kind. It is actively seeking quality material for future auctions, presenting a rare opportunity for sellers. Downtown Los Angeles, CA, USA, May 16, 2023 -- Andrew Jones Auctions will greet the summer season in a big way with two sales dedicated to important decorative arts. The Sunday, June 18th auction features the collection of Stuart and Phyllis Moldaw of Atherton, California, curated by Anthony Hail. The collection includes a broad selection of Chinese porcelain as well as Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica dinnerware, along with furnishing and accessories.
Three days later, on Wednesday, June 21st will see a signature Design for the Home and Garden auction, including property from the estate of Jack Lemmon, as well as collections of renowned interior designers Hendrix Allardyce, John Cole and Craig Wright, plus private sources in Beverly Hills and Palos Verdes Estates.
Andrew Jones Auctions will be letting folks into the saleroom on both auction days. The address is 2221 South Main Street in Downtown Los Angeles. Live previews will also be held in-gallery prior to auction. Start times both days will be 10 am Pacific time. Online bidding will be via AndrewJonesAuctions.com, Invaluable.com and LiveAuctioneers.com. Absentee bids accepted.
Stuart and Phyllis Moldaw both had refined eyes for beauty. They began working with Anthony (Tony) Hail, arbiter of style and esteemed San Francisco decorator. Phyllis and Tony developed an aesthetic partnership that transformed the Moldaws’ Goody Steinberg-designed house into their dream home. Eager to learn the history of each acquisition Tony assisted her with, Phyllis found herself especially drawn to fine porcelain and silver.
Led by historic Chinese ceramics and export porcelain, the Moldaws’ collection on June 18th is broad-ranging, from a carved celadon longquan charger (est. $2,000-$3,000) and peach bloom water pot (est. $1,500-$2,000) to blanc de chine censers, polychrome lotus form vessels to export famille rose tureens, platters and serving ware, large scale figural candlesticks, armorial place settings and Rockefeller pattern tableware.
Phyllis Moldaw also cultivated an appreciation for European porcelain, including Herend, notably the Rothschild bird and Fortuna patterns, as well as Meissen and Sevres, and amassed an extensive service of Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica dinnerware that’s been divided into 25 lots (with estimates ranging from $400-$7,000), plus whimsical table decorations by Ann Gordon.
The Moldaws’ collection also includes Asian and European furniture, such as a Chinese hardwood bench (est. $1,500-$2,000), as well as lacquer tables and an impressive gilt and black coromandel lacquer eight-panel floor screen (est. $8,000-$12,000). European furnishing highlights include a late Regency leather upholstered armchair (est. $800-$1,200), a pair of Louis XVI white painted fauteuils (est. $2,000-$3,000) and a Steinway & Sons piano.
Fine silver features a Puiforcat Royal pattern flatware service (est. $8,000-$12,000), pieces by Buccellati, Tiffany & Co., William van Erp and more. Rounding out the sale, the Moldaws’ extensive reference library focusing on Chinese works of art will also be included.
The June 21st Design for the Home and Garden auction of nearly 300 lots offers high-end antiques, clocks, designer furnishings, fine art, sculpture, silver, gold and gemstone jewelry, carpets and more, from collections of distinguished interior decorators and other sources.
The fine silver offerings run the gamut from an impressive pair of Regency meat domes by Paul Storr, 1811 (est. $10,000-$15,000) and a magnificent William IV well-and-tree platter from the Pembroke service also by Storr, 1834 (est. $10,000-$15,000) to a charming collection of sterling and Sheffield plate argyles, and Elizabeth I communion cup, a wonderful pair of George III convertible two-light candelabra by William Tuite, 1764 (est. $10,000-$15,000), a German silver nef (est. $1,500-$2,000) from the estate of Jack Lemmon, as well as flatware by Olier & Caron, Stieff and more.
Fine jewelry offerings feature diamond, gemstone and gold rings, necklaces, earclips and a sinuous 18K gold bracelet (est. $2,000-$3,000).
Chic furnishings from the collections of renowned designers, including the lines of Hendrix Allardyce and Dennis & Leen, as well as hand-picked pieces from private collections such as a Continental Neoclassical gilt bronze and Spanish Brocatelle marble table, possibly Russian, early 19th century (est. $2,000-$3,000) from the collection of Craig Wright are included, along with an intricate Anglo-Indian inlaid hardwood side cabinet, circa 1900 (est. $1,500-$2,000).
Original fine art, multiples and sculpture will include pieces such as Rafael Coronel’s Man in Red (est. $8,000-$12,000), a dynamic bronze by Charles Vital- Cornu titled La Gloire (est. $3,000-$5,000), and a large domestic scene by Lovis Cornith (est. $20,000-$30,000), as well as pieces by Woods Davy, Desmond Fountain, Franco Gentilini, Adrien Gaudez, Pegge Hopper, Bruce Houston, Miura Kenichi, Alfred Lanson, Charles Perron, Benito Tarabella, James Tissot, Alfred Vickers, Larry Zabel and others.
An array of carpets, rugs and runners, including a room-size Sarouk Fereghan (est. $20,000-$30,000) will be offered, as well as a selection of English and Continental mantel and tall case clocks from makers such as Aldred, Barraud, Johannes Beidelrock, Robert Downes, Fizel Aîné, John Hitchin, John Juler, Thomas Naylor, Thomas Utting and more.

Lapels Cleaners, an innovative, 100% sustainable garment care company headquartered in Naples, Florida, recently announced the opening of Lapels Cleaners of Cary, NC 1226 NW Maynard Road in Cary. The location had previously been Mee Cleaners. Jay Singh is the new owner of the dry cleaning plant and store.
“We are delighted to bring the Lapels Cleaners experience to Mee Cleaners customers and people who live and work in the greater Cary area,” said Singh. “At Lapels, we use a sustainable, non-toxic method for dry cleaning clothes. Subsequently, clothes feel better when you wear them and last longer.”
Singh, who owns and operates a skin care salon with his wife Karinda, has long wanted to bring a dry cleaning store to Cary to better serve the growing number of companies in the area—including such household names as SAAS, Google, Nike and others. Singh researched a number of opportunities before choosing Lapels. With its name brand and use of GreenEarth® cleaning process, he found Lapels Cleaners to be a great fit.
“With SAAS, Google, Nike and a number of other well known businesses opening offices in the area, we saw a real opportunity here,” said Singh. “The most compelling part was being able to convert an existing dry cleaner with an established customer base to Lapels Cleaners stores so we would have immediate cash flow and wouldn’t have to build a market from scratch.”

MRHB.Network, the world’s first halal and ethical decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, has released its one-year performance report detailing the company’s many achievements during 2022.
"From Day One, our platform put ethics together with a trusted ‘community first’ mission – a concept whose importance was highlighted by the numerous failures and frauds of 2022,” said MRHB Founder and CEO Naquib Mohammed. “We are continuing to build a safe and diverse crypto community that wants to participate in this extraordinary new sector that we hope will drive more creativity, entrepreneurship, investment and commerce opportunities for all involved.”
MRHB DeFi launched their $MRHB token in December 2021 in an oversubscribed IDO, raising nearly US$5 million from 1,000 investors, 800 of whom came through MRHB’s own DeFi platform. Following are the startup’s subsequent highlights and milestones over the past year:
Products and Architecture – The Foundation of the Vision
The past year saw MRHB launch three world-first products in halal DeFi:
Launched in February 2022, Sahal Wallet is the first self-custodial and chain-agnostic mobile crypto wallet that screens out non-halal tokens. Known as the ‘Easy Wallet’ because of its user-friendly interface, it also acts as a gateway to MRHB’s entire ecosystem of halal DeFi products. Available on Android and iOS, Sahal Wallet has more than 210,000 wallet activations across six chains, with tens of millions of dollars in weekly transaction volumes. It has a number of useful features including fiat onramp, swaps, cross-chain bridges, biometrics, WalletConnect, NFT storage and is integrated with the following popular blockchains: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Cronos, Fantom and Avalanche, with eight more partner blockchains scheduled to be integrated by Q3 2023.
TijarX, which beta-launched in October 2022, is the first halal DEX (decentralized exchange) built specifically for tokenized commodities. Initially focussed on very low risk wealth preservation, it currently offers gold and silver -backed tokens by physical allocated bullion stored in the fully regulated vaults of Australia’s leading bullion dealer, Ainslie. Providing tamper-proof and reliable price feeds from market-leading oracle solution, Chainlink, TijarX has reached over USD 400,000 in volume.
SouqNFT is the first halal NFT marketplace and B2B NFT solution. Launched in December 2021, SouqNFT hosts image NFTs as well as the world’s first NFT-based halal compliance certificates, and supports minting of Soulbound tokens. SouqNFT is currently integrated with the BNB and Polygon blockchains, and following the upcoming launch of Souq V2 which will include an entire UI/UX revamp, it will also be integrated with ETH, Fantom, Avalanche and CRO. Souq V2 will also see a range of other new features added, including (but not limited to) secondary market support across all chains, an OpenAI and DreamFusion-integrated AI NFT art generator, and an NFT Project Launchpad.
In addition to the above three halal DeFi solutions, the startup has been hard at work building their next two ethical and halal wealth generation products: EmplifAi, for easy investing in on-chain sources of income, and M.I.R.O. — short for ‘MRHB Incentivization & Reward Offering’ — which, for the first time will, allow the MRHB token holders to earn rewards in return for community participation. Both products are anticipated to create a demand driver for the utility token itself.
To better align the community and team members, the MRHB Governance Board decided to delay token releases for MRHB DeFi team until after M.I.R.O. is launched.
Shariah Governance Board – The Soul of the MRHB Ecosystem
MRHB DeFi works very closely with their Shariah Governance Board (SGB) that reviews every single token and product on the platform for halal compliance, including intricate analyses of every step of development for the products that MRHB creates. This ensures that everything on the platform is suitable for MRHB’s faith and ethics-conscious audience, also crucial for making partnerships with other halal projects.
Over the past year, the SGB has overseen halal compliance for the MRHB utility token and all three product launches as well as provided halal and ethical screening for over 150 external protocols, tokens and products, making MRHB DeFi the largest halal ecosystem in the blockchain industry.
The SGB is further involved in creating educational and official documentation and training resources for MRHB, including writing the first publicly published paper concerning Shariah governance in DeFi, as well as drafting the first DeFi-related Shariah governance framework and Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
Partnerships and Investments – New Opportunities, New Capabilities
Currently, the MRHB ecosystem is open to integrations with all third-party projects, blockchains, and tokenized assets that are deemed ethical and halal with future plans to launch toolkits and project incubators to actively support new founders and entrepreneurs.
After one year on the market, MRHB has secured over 30 strategic partnerships, including with a number of centralized and decentralized exchanges (CEXes and DEXes), technology and institutional partners.
“It’s a very challenging business environment but the need for innovative financial channels for greater financial inclusion, freedom and system safety has never been greater. Global market stresses have crushed several very high profile centralized banks and crypto institutions, highlighting a real need for DeFi. The bear market has allowed the dedicated team to focus on building useful products and – despite token pressures – we are seeing greater recognition of the MRHB project’s ethics, quality, transparency and credibility,” said Khalid Howladar, Chairman, who leads MRHB’s institutional outreach. ”These in turn are driving many institutional partnerships and possible expansions into real estate, commodities and the metaverse for 2023. We believe these will deliver extraordinary long term value and utility for both our community, partners and investors.”
A few notable partnerships from the past year include the following:
MRHB partnered with the youth wing of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to establish a Blockchain Centre of Excellence in Istanbul where they help educate and support young entrepreneurs from the 57 member states of the OIC interested in the blockchain industry. This partnership is enabled through MRHB’s participation in the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) incubation program, an initiative supported by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Investment Office and the Bilişim Vadisi Technology Development Zone of the Republic of Türkiye.
Australia's leading bullion group, Ainslie Bullion, partnered with MRHB in Sep 2022 to onboard their physical bullion-backed Gold & Silver Standard tokens to TijarX. These tokenized precious metals are independently audited, insured by Lloyd’s of London, and stored in Australia’s Reserve Vault.
MRHB partnered with Polygon Technology in late 2021 to optimize MRHB for the Polygon network. Polygon transactions are currently available on Sahal Wallet, and will be incorporated in an upcoming decentralized philanthropy (DePhi) solution that will cover Zakat and Waqf initiatives.
In addition to the above, other partners and investors include Sheesha Finance, Australian Gulf Capital, NewTribe Capital, Blockchain Australia, Mozaic, Contango Digital Assets, ZKSync, Acreditus Partners, EMGS Group, Sinofy Group, Sukhavati Protocol and MKD Capital, amongst others.
In terms of investment, MRHB has held private sales for Seed, Strategic and non-dashboard Pre-Sales funding rounds, attracting over 1000 investors from all over the world. Due to market interest, the company is exploring options around equity fundraising.
Marketing and PR – Sharing MRHB’s Ethical DeFi Story with the World
MRHB employs a large and active marketing team, maintaining six social media platforms and seven Telegram community channels in six different languages. The company, which has team members working in 17 different countries 24 hours a day across time zones, attended over a dozen international conferences in 2022 and held two large promotional events that have attracted a supportive and very loyal community of over 95,000 people, most of whom are first-time investors.
MRHB garnered widespread media interest and has been organically covered by notable media such as Forbes, Cointelegraph, Nasdaq.com, InvestorPlace, BeInCrypto, Cryptoslate and many others.
MRHB DeFi has won a number of accolades, including two World Business Outlook awards in 2022 for ‘Most Ethical DeFi Network Australia 2022’ and ‘Best New Islamic Crypto Platform Australia 2022’. They also won ‘Best New Islamic Crypto - 2022’ in the Crypto/FOREX category at the Global Brand Awards, and were featured as one of ‘10 Most Innovative Global Muslim Blockchain & Metaverse Projects to watch in 2022’ by the California-based NPO Centre for Global Muslim Life. The $MRHB token itself scored a perfect 10/10 score in a comprehensive audit by leading cybersecurity firm Hacken.

Whether a pony or a dog, a pet is unquestionably the best companion for your child. It's surprising how the bond between the pet and child is unbreakable, based on empathy and pure love. This companionship works wonders in a child's growth and development. Many parents believe their children become more responsible and friendly while bonding with a pet. They even shared how a pet's companionship aided their little one's self-development.
Considering all this, adopting and caring for a pet needs to be encouraged in households with the resources to do so. There are several tools through which this can be done, but the most powerful of all are books. While parents can introduce their children to books about pets, educational institutes can include a few in the curriculum.
Talking about books, amid the many pet stories, there's one about our friend, Michael D Eastwood, also known as Cowboy Mike, from A Day in the Life of Cowboy Mike and Winston. Michael rescued Winston, the pony, in 2016 and developed a strong bond.
Spending time with his pony and caring for him made Michael realize the importance of animals, pushing him to buy a whole farm. It changed his life for the better, something that he wanted everybody to know. Inspired by his own life experiences, he wishes to share how having a pony helped him in different ways.
Mental Health Benefits for the Kids
The human-pet bond is beneficial for one's well-being. Pets offer some powerful health benefits, such as ponies can have a calm and therapeutic effect on their human family members. The movement or contact with a pony itself stimulates oxytocin (a hormone that eases anxiety) in the brain, which has a calming effect on children.
A Source of Emotional Support
As a way to aid their emotional development, investing in a pet, emotionally or financially, can further uplift the person's happiness while instilling in them the concept of responsibility. It also makes it less difficult for children to maintain positive interpersonal relationships within society. A pony in a child's life helps eliminate sadness and benefits on a psychological level. Not only kids but also adults naturally learn a lot from taking care of animals.
Critical Role in Children's Growth and Development
Having a pony as a pet contributes to a child's social and educational development by indirectly forcing them to take up responsibilities. It also boosts their self-esteem and improves family bonding. It is known that positive relationships with ponies can play an important role in developing healthy relationships with others. Most importantly, children are more likely to understand true love if they have a pet. Ponies, among other animals, are incredibly lovable creatures who love their human companions unconditionally.
Many parents find it difficult to choose the right pet for their children. To make it easier for them, miniature ponies could be one of the few animals you could consider keeping as a pet since they're small in size and playful, so it's a win-win situation.
If you consider choosing this idea and want to know further about how to take care of a pony, grab a copy of A Day In the Life of Cowboy Mike and Winston to make your life much easier.

Beachwood, OH, USA, May 12, 2023 -- An 1854 Portrait of a Gentleman by British artist John Thomas Peele (1822-1897), a large Louis XV-style rock crystal chandelier, and a stoneware vessel by Claude Conover (American, 1907-1994) titled Kohnal are a few expected top lots in Neue Auctions’ online-only Decorative Objects, Fine Art & Antiques auction planned for Saturday, May 20th.
“This is truly a fresh to market auction, featuring wonderful rare porcelains, sculptures, Grand Tour pieces, paintings, sterling silver, ancient and antique glass and many other beautiful things,” said Cynthia Maciejewski of Neue Auctions. The oil on canvas Portrait of a Gentleman by John Thomas Peele is 30 inches by 25 inches and is housed in a period frame measuring 39 inches by 33 ½ inches. It’s signed and dated lower right and has an estimate of $2,000-$4,000. Peele was a close friend of the artist Frederic Edwin Church (American, 1826-1900). Some of Peele’s paintings were displayed in Church’s home.
The large, modern Louis XV-style rock crystal chandelier is 12-light, 3-tiered form, with seven bobeche for candles (one in the center), with scrolled arms draped with variously shaped pendant prisms in rock crystal, amethyst rock crystal and clear crystal, with beaded crystal swags. The chandelier is impressive at 50 inches long by 38 inches wide and should finish at $2,000-$4,000.
The Claude Conover stoneware vessel titled Kohnal is of pillow form on a one-inch cylindrical foot, with a cylindrical neck and mouth. It measures 12 inches in height by 14 ½ inches wide and has a surface that’s decorated with an alternating radiating pattern of rectangles with dots and cross hatchings. It’s signed to the foot, “Claude Conover Kohnal” and should hit $3,000-$5,000.
A group of early (circa 1810-1825) Italian Ginori porcelain plates from the Doccia porcelain manufactory, with hand-painted, named Italian urban views attributed to the painter Ferdinando Ammannati, is expected to realize $2,000-$4,000. The set consists of 12 plates and one larger serving plate, each hand-painted with a named Italian site, with cobalt blue and gilded borders.
A two-sided serigraph sculpture on freestanding hexagonal composite board signed by Victor Vasarely (Hungarian, 1907-1997), titled Northstar, is artist signed and numbered (“6/100”). It’s presented in its original cardboard box and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The piece, which measures 15 ¾ inches by 18 inches, carries a modest pre-sale estimate of $1,500-$2,500.
An 1830 oil on canvas Portrait of a Gentleman with a Top Hat by Louis Joseph Fanelli Semah (French, 1804-1875), and signed and dated lower left, measures 16 ¼ inches by 10 ¾ inches (canvas, less frame) and is expected to bring $1,200-$1,500. Semah exhibited paintings at the Salons in Paris. In 1844, he was awarded a gold medal for his Christ in the Garden of Olives.
An antique Persian Heriz wool carpet, 10 feet by 16 feet, boasting geometrics with a red field and a wide exciting border, has had some repair work but should still reach $2,000-$4000. Also, an 1866 oil on canvas still life painting by the 19th century Dutch artist H. Janssens, of an iris, rose and lily of the valley in a glass vase, with fruits and a walnut, should reach $1,000-$2,000.
A set of six 18th century Chelsea porcelain botanical plates, each scalloped edge plate decorated with floral sprigs and scattered blooms, with butterflies and insects in colorful glazes, the rims in dark iron red, unmarked, should rise to $1,000-$2,000. Also, a circa 1970s Brutalist style coffee table with geometric bronze base and applied copper and brass plaques, plus a conforming glass top, measuring 16 ½ inches by 47 inches by 21 inches, is expected to command $800-$1,200.

Las Vegas, NV and Kansas City, MO, May 11, 2023 -- GreenEarth® Cleaning, the world’s largest brand of environmentally friendly dry cleaning, offering the industry’s only non-toxic cleaning alternative, will once again be on the floor at the upcoming conference put on by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), May 21-23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. GreenEarth will be at Booth 57140.
ICSC LAS VEGAS is the premier event for ICSC, the global trade association of the retail real estate industry. Held annually in May, the event is a two- to three-day gathering of dealmakers and industry experts who are driving innovation and evolution in the Marketplaces Industry.
“For more than 20 years, GreenEarth has been the partner that property managers have relied on to eliminate any liability associated with contamination from dry cleaning tenants. We have existing relationships with more than 400 landlords—some of the biggest names in the category,” said Tim Maxwell, CEO of GreenEarth Cleaning. “Our program has provided them with the confidence to embrace professional garment care providers as tenants again.”
GreenEarth Cleaning uses a pure fluid, which is silicon-based and not the hydrocarbon-based solvent chemicals traditionally used in dry cleaning. This makes the cleaning process environmentally non-toxic, enabling GreenEarth’s cleaners to eliminate hazardous waste. Additionally, the process is gentler on the fibers in clothing. This lengthens the life of the clothes, and they look and feel better.
GreenEarth Cleaning was formed almost 25 years ago by founders General Electric, Procter & Gamble and three dry cleaners--Jim Barry, Ron Benjamin, and Jim Douglas--who sought to improve the industry by providing a safe and non-toxic alternative to perc, the predominant solvent in use at the time. Since 1999, GreenEarth Cleaning has provided an environmentally non-toxic technology to thousands of dry cleaners around the globe who in turn have cleaned some 600 million pounds of clothes during that time.
For more information on GreenEarth Cleaning, visit https://www.greenearthcleaning.com/. For more information on ICSC, visit https://www.icsc.com.
About GreenEarth Cleaning:
"Doing business without doing harm" has been the mission statement of GreenEarth since its birth in 1999. Utilizing a proprietary product line of pure silicone and unique "cold" filtration media, the Kansas City, MO-based GreenEarth provides its proprietors with the best possible fabric care while lowering energy costs by more than 50 percent. Since the pure fluid GreenEarth uses is silicon-based and not the chlorine-based chemicals traditionally used in dry cleaning, the cleaning process is proven to be environmentally non-toxic, allowing GreenEarth’s customers to reduce or even eliminate hazardous waste fees. Leading dry cleaners, property owners, fashion brands, and financial institutions recognize GreenEarth as the clear leader in meeting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives.
