The purpose of corrosion protection of seamless steel pipes for low and medium pressure boilers is to extend the service life of the steel pipe itself. Especially when used for underground industrial pipelines, oil and gas transportation, high-quality water pipelines and other projects, anti-corrosion treatment is required. Commonly used corrosion protection methods for seamless steel pipes for low and medium pressure boilers are as follows.
1. 3PE corrosion protection;
2. Epoxy coal tar corrosion protection;
3. Epoxy resin corrosion protection
4. IPN8710 corrosion protection;
5. Cement mortar corrosion protection.
3PE corrosion protection process for medium and low pressure boiler steel pipes: 1. Medium and low pressure boilers
Rust removal of seamless steel pipes
Before applying primer, the surface of the pipe should be cleaned of grease, ash, rust and scale. The quality standard of sandblasting rust removal reaches Sa2.5 level.
2. After rust removal on the surface of seamless steel pipes for medium and low pressure boilers, primer should be applied, and the interval time should not exceed 8 hours. When applying primer, the base surface should be dry. The primer should be applied evenly and fully without condensation or bubbling. The two ends of the pipe should not be painted within the range of 150 ~ 250mm.
3. After the primer surface is dry, apply the topcoat and wrap the glass cloth. The time interval between the primer and the first topcoat should not exceed 24 hours.
4. The epoxy coal tar asphalt paint adopts a two-component room temperature curing paint; the glass fiber cloth adopts dry, dewaxed, untwisted, edge-sealed, medium alkali, and the warp and weft density is 10*12 pieces/cm ~ 12*12 pieces/cm glass cloth. Wrap the glass cloth immediately after applying the topcoat. The edge width of the glass cloth is 30-40mm, the overlap length of the joint is not less than 100mm, and the overlap joints of each layer are staggered. The oil permeability of the glass cloth is above 95%, and there shall be no gap larger than 50mm*50mm. There shall be a stepped stubble of 150-250mm at the end of the pipe.
5. The construction of low and medium pressure boiler pipe joints should be carried out after the welding pressure test is qualified. The new and old anti-corrosion blanks should not be less than 50mm, the joint overlap length should not be less than 100mm, and the stubble should be firmly bonded.
6. The outer wall coating structure of the seamless steel pipe of low and medium pressure boilers: one bottom, two sides and one cloth surface, with a total dry film thickness of 400?m.
7. The inner wall coating structure of the seamless steel pipe of low and medium pressure boilers: one bottom and three sides, with a total dry film thickness of 300?m.
Tip: ASTM A53 pipes cover seamless and welded, black and hot-dip galvanized nominal (average) wall pipes for coiling, bending, flanging and other special purposes, suitable for welding. Continuously welded pipes are not suitable for flanging.?
