Falcine meningiomas arise from the falx region in between the two cerebral hemispheres. The aim of surgery is to completely excise the tumour and also remove the attachment so the that tumour does not recur. The surgery is performed under an operating microscope. Falcine meningioma surgery is challenging as multiple veins draining into the Superior sagittal sinus can make the operating corridor quite narrow. The veins have to be preserved as damage can lead to venous injury to brain causing hematoma and delayed recovery. Falcine meningioma symptoms include headaches, which can become progressively worse over time as the tumour grows. The tumour may cause weakness on one side of body, or seizures.#FalcineMeningioma #FalcineMeningiomaSurgery #FrontalFalcineMeningioma #AnteriorFalcineMeningioma #FalcineMeningiomaSurgery #FrontalFalcineRadiology
