Video grading software is one thing that many have in common.
Verdict: Adobe Premiere Pro is one of the top video editing programs with its emphasis on great color grading. There are several tools specifically designed for this purpose - RGB Mixer, Curves, Colors, Windows, etc. - and they can be quite confusing to the average user, which is why there are so many out there! I will show you how to quickly compare the different packages out there, and decide which you think is best for you!
The first thing you want to do when looking at the different color grading packages is take a look at what type of Adobe software they have. Adobe Premiere Pro is a professional grade video editing program. It has a nice user interface that makes it easy to use, but it's also quite powerful. If you're interested in a "pro" level editing package, then I recommend using Adobe Premiere. Many of the other packages are more geared toward beginners or amateurs who want to learn about color grading and video. That doesn't mean that they don't have the power to produce amazing videos; it's just that most of the programs out there are aimed towards a different audience.
After you have looked through all the different packages out there and decided which one you like, the next thing you want to do is start to compare the different color grading software options. Take a look at what features each package has and what their limitations are. What features are there that you need? Does the software offer a workflow editor? What kind of file formats are supported?
The next step is comparing what is available for color grading in each program. Some of these programs will allow you to do basic, pre-defined color grading in your projects. While this is useful, some of them will let you do more complex things. Some packages will allow you to import a color grade from a third party application. What features are included in each package? Are there any plugins included? What kind of tutorials and tips do you get included? These are all important questions to ask yourself when comparing your options. In most cases, the program that gives you the most options will be the most user-friendly as well.
Once you have reviewed all of the options, you can start to compare which program works best for you. and can get the job done right away!
